Hi, it’s so difficult to accept and it will take a little time to get your head around it all. Perhaps it’s worth not thinking about meeting anyone yet because I think you need to deal with what’s going on and get things straight in your own mind before you can expect anyone else to understand what you are going through.I’m sure there is someone out there who will accept your illness is part of you. There will be a wonderful person out there waiting to meet you and build a life together. Much love to you and keep your chin up, you’ve got this 🥰

Hi, it can take a while to accept you have a lifelong /chronic health condition - but that acceptance is often the yirnin point in you learning to live with the condition.

It's like going through the grief process - you are grieving the person you used to be and the things you owed to be able to do.

FMA UK have useful information on their website fmauk.org including information booklets at fmauk.org/publications

I feel your pain buddy I got diagnosed at 33 and i struggled hard to deal with it. Raising 3 kids with my wife having a pretty good life to starting to have all the pain and aching and cognitive problems for no apparent reason , you will get there you just got to first except it then find what works for you to make your symptoms better for me it was exercise mainly running and stretches for your whole body trust me it works well just 15 mins a day and I'm in a better place now but still it comes and goes but that's fibro , just find your way to kick it's butt. Also I found hardly any other men who have fibro which can feel isolating but this website is great for that your not alone

I was like that too until I went into hospital about 12 years ago for something else and they gave me tramadol and then I began to feel like my normal self it took away the pain and the severe fatigue and been on it ever since. Allows me to lead a normal life. I hope this helps you.
