Can the above cause fibromyalgia

Hi, I’m not sure it can cause Fibromyalgia but a lot of Fibro sufferers have sleep apnea.

Wonder why you think it may cause fibro. It is a condition that can occur in our community and due to our condition causing decreases in activity and therefore weight gain and other risk factors that then make sleep apnoea more likely and common.

But would still not say fibro causes it and certainly not the other way around.

Hello , I have sleep apnea along side my fibro/Cfs I have read there seems to be a lot of people that have these conditions together for what ever reason , for me I have a small palate the specialist said. People over weight and heavy smokers can get diagnosed with this too and it can be rectified but for me it’s for life. Have you got sleep apnea ? .

I think the indicator or risk factor that is often used is neck circumference 16 or 17 inches for women or men respectively IIRC. But not just that.

Not on it's own according to my nursing training, but many Fibromites also have sleep Apnea
