Iam a 38 year old and been diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2017 after a car accident. Since then I have been suffering from severe backspin and can’t walk more than 4 steps before collapsing of pain.
Fibromalagia can put you in the wheelchair but it depends on the severity. I have recently given birth to a baby girl and I am studying as it keeps mentally fit.
It is important to keep yourself mentally fit in order to prevent deterioration. The no cure for fibromalagia but the condition can be managet with the right medication, physio/exersice and the right mindset.
My message to people who are using wheelchairs with fibromyalgia is not give up and keep urself mentally fit.
You can do so much eventhough u r in wheelchair.

I have a wheelchair, but I now live in a hilly area so I can't use it except in the house. I don't like the darned thing anyway, so for everyday use I use a rollator. It allows me to stay on my feet and it also has a seat I can park on in queues. Also the handles are good for hanging shopping on!
I am wondering something; If you recently had a babe, could your back be misaligned after the birth? Could an Osteopath or Chiropractor help , maybe?
I find that the joints in my pelvis seem to have softened; also in my lumbar spine, just as they did with childbirth, so I find myself different shapes on different days!
I’m 43 and also a wheelchair user due to back pain and spasms, I try to use my crutches more. Brain fog is a major for me but I do make sure I read daily and try and do puzzles to keep my brain active xx well done you xx
