can you expand? some people comment on having issues with their prescription changing. Dry eyes through sjogrens is also an overlapping condition.

I have had neck and back problems for approx 40 years . Fibro for almost the same time + arthritis and everything that goes with it. It now looks like I am going to have surgery because of full thickness macular hole in one eye and in the other a vitreomacular traction. This has all come on quite suddenly this last 6 months, and it was only when I paid for an extra test because I was not happy with my eyes. I had an ordinary test in January, that this was discovered. Also I was told that I do not blink enough and was told to blink more because of lubricating the eyes. Also I have had floaters for as long as I can remember which I believe is another problem with Fibro & eyes. Also I have suffered with itchy eyes like hayfever symptons but at all times of the year and just assumed there was something I was allergic to. There seems to be very little info about how Fibro can affect the eyes and therefore things you just accept as normal are in fact not normal.

I would not immediately relate the more serious items you have listed to fibro. Also with th eothers we have the difficulty of correlation with a large amount of people with fibro and whether it is related. If it was related we would expect to see it across the range of demographics but if it is appearing in older people for example it may be something else.

But the dry eyes and if you have dryness in mouth or elsewhere then have a look at sjogren's. Floaters in people with fibro are mentioned but not normally anything that anyone should be concerned about unless you get a lot of them at the same time. With he dry eyes then gel tears can help or similar.

I noticed that right around the time the diagnosis with fibro., my eyes became so dry and I ended up also having laser surgery because they found a tear in my eretina. I also was on birth control, which I read could create dryness, so it is hard to say if there is a correlation with Fibro or not. However, I did stop the bc a month ago and will see if the severe dry eyes dissipates or not after a few more months. :)

I do think that some medications affects the eyes. I found Gabapentin, Amitripillin and Naproxen made my eyes blurry and runny. Sensitive to cold or sun light. I had issues with distance and wear glasses for driving and using the screen &TV. I will definitely say that meds impacts on eye sight.
