not that I am aware of but there is a correlation with chronic migraines. you could search the forum to see if someone else has reported it.

Yes, they both come from Central Sensitization. I suffer from fibro and from migraines too.

There are many many people who suffer with migraines but have never had Fibro. I personally don't think they are linked. Just my opinion :)

Hi Lehuquetif,

i was eventually diagnosed in 2018 after years of tests, I too have hemiplegic migraines. When i asked my GP he told me there was a correlation with mine. I also have migraines with and without auras, sensations described by people who have epilepsy known as absences, (which i have always been aware when they are about to happen) and lots of other weird sensations including numbness, electric shocks, feeling like spiders are running all up my back. Best to ask your Dr, as my daughter says it looks like i have had a stroke and whilst they only feel a couple of minutes long to me, she says they last around 20 mins. What i am relieved about is that i have only ever experienced them upon waking or when i sleep for 2/3 days and nights at a time. I have lost enough of my independence i would hate for fibromyalgia to take away my driving licences as well

Very interesting and thank you for sharing; the numbness in my arms and hands was put down to carpal tunnel. The pain in my neck and shoulders down to degeneration. My knees to arthritis. Restless legs.... no excuse yet ! My migraine was confirmed as not a stroke (I actually insisted to have a MRI and had to go private and pay as strike wouldn’t have shown after 2 wks apparently). Thank you very much for your comment 👍👍👍
