Have a look at the RLS ( restless Leg Syndrome ) forum on Healthunlocked.

Check the symptoms list.

Hope this helps you get some answers and much needed relief.

Hi, this is such an awful feeling. Mine started in my feet and after a couple of months it spread all way to the top of my head. I found the gabapentin on a night helped with this. When it got really bad I would put my shower in my hand on the hottest setting and run it over were the crawling sensation was. The burning from the hot water was better than the crawling feeling. One thing I will say is that since it reached up to my bladder area it has left me now unable to control my bladder now. What makes it worse is the fact that I do not have the feeling of needing to go, i do not know until it is running down my leg and once it starts I cannot stop it. Mentioned it to my gp who just shakes his head!!!!

I feel for you as it's horrible and i have fibro and coeliac disease and dermatitis Herpetiformis and brittle bones and I get really weird nerve sensation due to the fibro and then on top of that the DH has flared and I itch all over and painful too. Slap on the old betnovate and take simple painkillers. Helps a bit but not the medics can do really. My T6 vertebra decided to go on me reaching to the bathroom cabinet so left with some scoliosis and pain from that. Wow what a mess but one thing I found is I have a sense of humour and can laugh at myself. Also I play piano/organ/keyboards and that help with distracting me from me. But I do empathize with these horrible complaints. I refuse to give in to them and treat them as enemies. I tried all the strong drugs and morphine etc but might as well have a tube of smarties as nothing seem to work for me but made me worse. Reckon my immune system has it in for me! Well make her suffer! Must have upset it somewhere in my life. Probably eating all that lovely gluten years ago before I was diagnosed probably. Have you tried a cool shower and some emollient cream as that might help but can't promise. Talk to your doc again and see if he can refer you to a pain clinic as that may help.

It could be scabies doing the rounds! Otherwise take an antihistamine if it's allergy

I get it too. Sometimes a shower helps You don’t use soap? Dermol. No Bio washing powder either . Or sheets washed in Bio powder too.

TryE45 anti itch cream.

Hope that help
