Fibro flare down.

β€’3 Replies

Good morning everyone.so a few week ago I was on here explaining how I had broken some ribs in my front and round my back.had fibro for a long time.10 + years roughly (brain fog kicking in) anyhow ive broken many bones in my life tore tendons had cartlidge removed from both knees.my point is that the pain of my broken ribs combined with no sleep and stuck in bed for over 8 week made me realise that a lot of my day to day pains are nowhere near as bad as i suffered with my ribs jeeeeeeez we were on a 12 out of 10 with the ribs.now i know we all have pain everyday. Arthritis is my worst enemy atm.nerve pain is low sleep not to bad the littlest things no longer get on my nerves.while bed ridden with my ribs i said to myself if i fully recover from these i will never complain about the lesser painfull things i get ever again.

Now am bk exercising as often as i can and find my nerve tendon pain a lot less joint pain gone up a bit.Anyhow i was wondering if you can get fibro through trauma.a wonder if trauma can reverse a lot of syptoms ?????? Because nothing else has changed, diet life style and that.

I have been in pretty good health for last 2 months for me and am getting a lot more done. Still pacing ones self as ya do. But somthing happened after my ribs healed i do not understand what or why.i still live with daily pain somtimes bed all day but as i said am doing ok touch wood.Has anybody ever had anything like this.

I remind myself when im in pain now how savage and depressed i was to the point i could have blew my own head clean off. I just hope i never forget that pain and experience as it seems to hav flicked a switch in my head.dnt waste your good days go for it and if you can push yourself to your maximum I know it hurts and its hard when chronic pain and sleep deprivation interferes with our day to day life.but belive me i hav always tried to keep active.and inturn my body thanks me for it better sleep endorphins the lot.so i leave that thought with you all push on push on and push on because sedentary lifestyle will destroy your body and mind. Everyone keep safe stay safe in these very uncertain times.belive me if i can still be positive some days so can all of yous. Any excersise is better than none.walk rnd your garden or house every our or so.if your body allows we are ment to move and sitting, lying just exasperates all our syptoms. Main point can trauma also cause syptoms to ease ???? Interested to hear opinions.πŸ‘πŸ˜·πŸ˜‰

Hi HulkM

I don't know about trauma causing symptoms to ease but I do know when I'm working I'm so much better, it's hard but definitely better though I totally crash at the end of the shift. Where as down time, my motivation is gone so whether it's down to being so tired after working for so many days or not moving as much my pain does seem so much higher??

I do believe when we have a 'higher' pain our normal pains seem to disappear, it's as if the body/mind puts focus on the worst pain only for eg: when I have a really bad migraine that can last a full day of being sick I have no other pain, always found this weird.

Absolutely agree, movement however you can do it is so worth it.

Excellent answer thanks for the response defo all about movement when possible.can be hard but is 100 % needed to sort certain pain out for me.and if its a bad day a dont beat myself up about not exercising a just try and go with what my body is saying to me now.πŸ‘

I have been wondering exactly the same thing over the last few months. My symptoms have eased so much that I'm not taking any pain meds anymore. It's weird, although I'm not complaining! I have had severe pain in my finger for about a year. I had a fibroma removed a month ago, which used to be painful to the point that it felt like my finger was being bashed with a hammer 20 times a day and the rest of my pains were mild or non-existent. Now all my aches and pains are just about gone aswell as my complete knackeredness!! I have been wondering if my brain has reset!πŸ™ƒπŸ˜
