Hi I really want another child me and my husband was going to start trying but then I got really ill with fibromyalgia I used to just have hip pain but now I have lots of symptoms and take strong pain killers i know I'd have to come off them to have the baby but I wanted to know has anyone been pregnant while having a flare up. What's it like being pregnant while having fibromyalgia basically

Hi Hun I'm lucky I got my three girls because with this I don't think I'd cope but I have 3 you will manage it will be harder but worth it I know my friend takes pregablin while pregnant due to seizures so u can take meds but not opioids as I take opioids myself and could not come off them ,I'm sure your be fine speak to doc and see what meds u can take xxxx🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am on oxycodone which is like morphine they said I can take dihydracodine till I am 8 months but I'd prefer not to take any opioids while pregnant, I am dreading coming off them I tried reducing my dosage myself and I was so ill but my wanting for another child is so much higher.

A chat with your doctor as he/she can advice you what pain relief would be available for you, Have you got a good supportive family around you, have a chat to your nearest and dearest and ask if they would be prepared to step up sometimes ie when husband is at work, perhaps when days are difficult or lack of sleep etc with a new baby, if you have support from both sides that can alternate some hours or days or even cover when someone else cannot, just a thought but it might’ help when making a decision. I see desquinn has put a helpful link for you as well to healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., if you would also like to lock your posts I have put this link, that way only our community can see and not open to any other site engines , good luck, keep us posted , how you get on. Xx

Before considering TTC get folate, ferritin, B12 and vitamin D tested

Low vitamin D frequently causes bone and joint pain
