Requesting PIP/ESA reports.

Recently a number of claimants have been told that they cannot access their assessment report until after the decision has been made.

This IS untrue, there are NO NEW guidelines within the DWP stating this.

This email is a response from DWP, Thanks to a benefits advisor who asked on our behalf..

"Claimants have always been able to ask for their report. There hasn’t been any new changes to guidance on this.

Paul Gray’s 4th recommendation from The Second Independent Review of PIP, highlighted the need to have the assessment report available to claimants.

The Department’s response to the recommendation says that claimants can request their report at any time after their assessment."

Ajay over the last month there have been various excuses for not sending out reports. Favorite seems to be "Oh it is only a preliminary report I would not bother until the decision". And so on. Basically I believe they do not want you having that extra time to prepare a MR.

I taped the asessment that I took my sister for(we told them we were taping) and she was still refused PIP, we are at Court of Appeal on 30th, we have waited since May for this, her original appplic went in to DWP last december 2018, I am sure we will win but |I havn,t told her to expect her application to be backdated to that time, it will be a lovely surprise, I am sure we will win.
