Gravity Blankets

So just another quick question!

Has anybody invested in a gravity blanket by chance!?

A weighted blanket that doesn’t heat up and is great for fibro sufferers. Google gravity blanket. Xx

I haven't but considering for the winter but the price is very high. I've read a lot of good reviews though. I'm worried because I get hot easily it may make my sweating worse?

I’m so hot with this fibro too but this blanket won’t heat you up as it’s got non heating beads in it. I got some ppi money back so it’s paid for it. Otherwise I would have struggled too. Xx

Thank you. I may look at getting one for the winter then. I can't think about getting a blanket at the moment in this heat 😂.

I know but just now I’m on the top of the bed. X

Daisey, Just looked it up and the best I can understand it's just a blanket filled with sand,, I suppose many might find that somehow comforting but I think I might find it a bit much. I can't get the bedding light enough especialy on the feet. My best investment has been a rather large "Far infared heat lamp" on a wheeled stand,, I use it so much and literaly wouldn't be without it.

Well I’ve got it for a whole months trial and if I don’t like it it can go back. And I do believe their glass beads not sand.

Daisey, I really hope it helps,, some of the things I have tried are out there.

I had a good chuckle at the glass bead,, not at you,, but at how industry likes to use descriptors,, my thinking was glass is made from sand so I wasn't far wrong.

I had wondered if it might be soothing sitting around my shoulders but it didn't take me long thinking the better of that idea !

Best Wishes, Ray

How is the gravity blanket. I saw a programme on TV and they recommended it to help you sleep and keep you snug. That would be good !!

I’ve had mine 4 weeks now and I love it. I only wanted to use it for napping in the afternoon but I use it all night too. I don’t know why it works but it does! I’ve had great communication from them when I had an issue when it arrived but they resolved it quickly. It’s so worth the money just for the feeling of even a few hours of no pain.

The only think I would say is that they recommend the weight of the blanket according to your weight. So I got the 8kg one and had I know how blooming heavy it was to move about I’d have gotten the 6kg one instead. So if you struggle with lifting things I’d say step down the size required. Once I’m under it it’s fine. It’s changing the cover that’s the nightmare. 😂

Thanks for the information. I will order one. It just sounded too good to be true but having a nights sleep was very tempting. Wishing you all the best. xxx
