Hi there

It has been 2 and a half yr since I was diagnosed after been struck by a car...

I have taken so many different pain meds but settled on Cymbalta which seems to be the cause of my severe sleep deprivation. I am now weaving off of it because not sleeping has cause extra problems I don't need and not sure when things will be normal again..(memory loss..weight gain..constipation..difficulty concentrating..high blood pressure etc)..As a result I am on sick leave working on this problem and waiting to see what withdrawal symptoms comes along with coming off the cymbalta...these yrs have been so challenging..my life chang so quickly but I push on and through..I did therapy for a yr and a half..I now go to the gym now instead and do the same routines when I can... So many don't understand what we face but we do..keep fighting..pushing..hoping

Hello; so sorry you got this from a car accident. I hear trauma is a common cause of Fibro. I have several I know that once they figure what you endured through the accident gets resolved such as surgery etc then Fibro will go away too? It’s all about getting to the root of your problem. For me I just woke up doing normal activities and got worst over 3 months at the time diagnosed they told me possible menopause! When I’m done with menopause I’ll be ok? NOT they tested me at 52 and was done with it but have had Fibro since 2004. I hope you can find comfort! Awful to have to deal with an accident and go through the Fibro! My deepest sympathy! Gentle ooo
