this may be of interest to those with thyroid conditions as well as fibro, It makes interesting reading but the quote that stands out to us is "Prof Simon Pearce, from Newcastle University, said: "Thyroid disease is being overtreated currently but it's premature to make a recommendation not to treat young people on the basis of the available evidence. Some will feel better on treatment.""
The topic was also posted on Thyroid UK several times yesterday. The one above by diogenes - aka Dr John Midgley. Thought you may be interested to read his comments about Dr Pearce. As you know Dr Midgley is an Independent Research Analyst involved in current research regarding the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid issues. Have you read the most recent Research he was involved with ? - far more illuminating than the one quoted - which omitted to mention T3 ....

I think a lot of people are reading this through their own views and responses have shown this elsewhere. The quotes are very measured within the article i.e. no changes and for some it will work but for others it may be they are being prescribed unnecessarily. If we were talking about people being prescribed opioids or pregabalin when they did not need to be on it then there may be a similar reaction in this community. Ultimately the studies need to be properly looked at from a dispassionate point of view.
I do not tend to have time to read to far outside the bounds of fibro research if I am honest.
