I already have an endometriosis and fibro diagnosis. Physio at the pain clinic said I also have CFS. I had asked my GP about this in the past and he wasn’t interested, just said they are the same thing so no point in going anyway!
He has now agreed to send me to an ME clinic but I don’t know where to go. I know they are all based around CBT and GET but I need the diagnosis even if I don’t follow the treatment offered.
The ones I have looked at are run by mental health departments which is really annoying because that’s not what it is.
I am in the midlands but prepared to travel if I have to. Can anyone recommend a good place to go. Or does anyone have experience of clinics? Rheumatology just gave me a fibro diagnosis and discharged me.
Thanks

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hi there ,doctor does not sound very helpful at all, my doctor referred me( I did think this was what they were supposed to do as he has agreed and they look on the lists and send off a referral letter for you)sometimes they are not on your doorstep so to speak and I had to travel, I too have Cfs,Fibro, my daughter has endometriosis so I completely understand . Perhaps different areas work differently but I think it’s worth talking to your practice manager and ask can he write a referral letter. Good luck with this but differently ring up and ask , sometimes we have to be firm as we feel like we are being robbed off, take care x
