Hi baby girl1952, just out of interest did your doctor say why they refuse to give you narcotics? 🤔 I cannot function without my main medications and I admire those who can 👌

no, I don't have any right now since I came to Colorado from California in 2016 before I was on a medicine that's for fibromyalgia and I can't spell it so I suffer but I'm going to put my foot down this time and ask for something thanks for your reply

Oh wow, I really feel for you. I do know some people who try non narcotic medication, but for me prescribed meds are totally key for me personally 🙂🤩

Hi babygirl if you cannot get narcotics you could try CBD oil which can work for many, try changing your diet- cutting out sugar, white rice and potatoes, caffeine, eat loads of cabbage, broccoli, green beans,

try to cut out cola, and processed foods.

I have been taking supplements magnesium, ultra vitamin D.

Hope this is useful! I don't want to pry but is there a reason you cannot get meds? Sorry for asking but it would significantly help. Love and peace 💕✌

I'm so sorry for intruding babygirl 😔 i did not intend to hurt your feelings i hope you can forgive the insensetive question. I can just send you my love and hope you can get something sorted out! I take Pregablin, duloxetine and codine at the minute with lidocaine patches for the evening. You maybe ok but without the codine as it is probably the most addictive (this was advice from my consultant) sending you love and peace 💕✌

Hi babygirl1952,

I’m sorry to hear that you can’t have the meds you need, that must be very distressing. I had to come off Pregabalin and other fibro meds including codeine, on my doctors orders, after suddenly developing side effects.

I now take a water based CBD, three times a day, which provides me with good pain relief, but when I have a flare, I need to use other techniques too.

I play subliminal brain entrainment music, every night from Brain Hacker (available on Amazon), particularly the Healing Relaxation and Pain Relief, Insomnia and Deep Sleep tracks. When I’m bad, play it in the day too.

I do gentle exercise when I’m able, which helps. I make sure I get up and walk regularly. I use a crutch (sometimes 2) in the house and a wheelchair or mobility scooter when I go out. Like most of us, I have other health challenges too.

I also use a TENS machine and electric heat pads (for shoulders, back etc), or a gel filled hot water bottle and I rub arnica into sore joints, or Mussleflex Gel, regularly.

When all else fails, distraction techniques help, so I do jigsaw puzzles and brain training puzzles on my tablet.

Mindfulness and a positive mindset combined with all the above, means I can cope in a natural way. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely doable! 🙂
