I grew up in Australia and have old primary school friends and a cousin in different parts. What is it you want to know?

That would take a book to answer, it's a very large island. Which area are you moving to?

Congratulations. You have made a massive decision which cannot have been easy. I feel sure you won't regret it. Beautiful country with lots of sunshine & what appears to be happy people. You could maybe find contacts via facebook? My niece is off to New Zealand next month - she says for one year only, but I have a feeling she won't return - and she found an association/society who help find work, accommodation etc. x x

Hi, I'm Australian, although I'm not currently living there. There are no real dos and don'ts as we are a young mixed culture, you'll find people from all different backgrounds there. Like someone said before though, it's a big country with varied environments so depends where you are moving to as to what you'll experience. My husband and I moved overseas with nothing but a suitcase each so I know it can be very scary but ultimately very rewarding. We are a laid-back, friendly people. You'll do fine 😊Best of luck for your move.

Congratulations Inola, my cousin and her family and aunt and uncle emigrated to Australia years ago and love it there.

Their children had so many more opportunities growing up there than they would have in the UK.

Hope you have a great life, I'm sure you will. 😊
