Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings

Hope you all survive the hoop-la intact and get to enjoy as much of it as you can.

We've travelled up to London from north Devon, and will be cooking half of the meal tomorrow in MIL's oven, which I've nicknamed Satan! We return home on Boxing Day. Can't wait to get back to our sanctuary lol...

Here's to a better year for us all in 2018 xx

Same to you too Hun. Please don’t overdo things. I’m not nagging, I just care about my fibro family. You’ve already had a bit of a trek with your travelling.

Try and enjoy your day tomorrow and rest whenever you can. Take care and here’s to a better 2018 and with a lot less pain xx

Thank you, petal. Am full of lurgy so unimpressed with having to come up here. I hate being poorly in someone else's house! I was expected to cook one of the dishes, but my beloved and I have now decided how to deal with that, to take the pressure off me.

Tbh it's a bit of an ordeal. MiL is very prickly so it's hard work. It is also her birthday tomorrow, so not coming was not an option (apparently...). My thoughts on the matter are unprintable! My beloved is not her favoured son and he has begged me to hold my tongue despite her shrewish behaviour towards us both.

How are you spending the week?
