hi I am new , my name is Jayne and I was finally diagnosed with fybro 3 years ago, I have been trying to manage it myself but have come to realise I need help and advise from fellow sufferers ,not people who have no idea of what it is truly like . I am not good with computers so please bear with me , it has taken me 3 hours to get this far and a bucket load of tears .

Hi. Please don't feel bad about not being top speed on your P.C. I am sorry to hear that you to have fibro. You have come to the right place, this forum is excellent for support and advice or just someone who will listen to you and offer a shoulder to cry on.

Do you live alone or with parents or a partner? It is difficult for others to understand how fibro affects us and how we feel, the pain we go through, the mood swings.

Do you work?

You will always have someone here that understands.

Take care.

I, too, manage my own fibro, mainly because I always get the side effects of meds and after an awful reaction to high blood pressure medication earlier this year I don't want to risk any more.

I take an Ayurveidic tablet, turmeric with black pepper, selenium, magnesium and co enzyme q10. Oh and vitamin D.

I stopped taking the Turmetic for a few weeks, just to check if it is beneficial. Increased pain and stiffness so resumed it. The turmeric really does help. I got some delivered from Sri Lanka and they arrived in 6 days. About 3 months supply for £8.

I've found soluble paracetamol the best for pain, though it does contain sodium. I'm trying to balance the benefits of the paracetamol against the risk of too much salt.

Magnesium flakes or Epsom salts in hot baths and magnesium oil rubbed into my feet ( where I get a lot of pain) also help.
