Good Afternoon i`ve just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia this morning and joined the group for hints and tips.. thank you

Welcome to the forum you will find lots of useful advise from people here, plus friendship and a good old moan when need be, we also share other things too, just to take our minds of this illness, there is always someone on day and night.

thank you very much it will give my familys ear`s a rest now lol..

well in a way Relieved first consultant in 2015 gave me a clinical diagnosis of "chronic Musculoskeletal pain" now all i have to do is find ways to make life comfortable..

pregabilin and duloxitine.. and a booklet lol

Hello and welcome!

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but at least you know what you are dealing with now.

Has your consultant suggested a pain management course? Have you thought about joining a local support group? There is a section on fmauk.org with information about support group s.

For me, living with this condition is all about pacing myself, taking gentle exercise (yoga, swimming and walking) and trying to remain positive (sometimes difficult!) Avoiding stressful situations is also important, as is lots of forward planning and lots of lists for my forgetfulness (fibrofog).
