As a fibro sufferer i had the device home last night from hospital to check for sleep apnea. Didnt get much sleep as its a nuisance to wear. Wrist part ok but the part that clips onto your finger kept falling off. Awoke 3 times to find it off and had to reattach. Couldnt lay in my usual position while wearing it. Anyone know if readings will still be ok for doc at hospital to diagnose

I suppose it depends how long you were detached from the device. Worst comes to worst they may make you repeat the test and suggest a better way to keep the device from falling off, like lightly taping it.

Good luck, I hope you don't have to repeat the process :)

Hi there

As Hidden has said I would imagine it depends upon how long the device stayed attached to your finger.

We do tend to lose track of time at night.

I very much hope that the hospital has enough information to go on.

Hi my friend

I use a C-PAP due to sleep apnea. As they measure from hour to hour, along as you kept it on for one hour it should be okay. What they are measuring is how many times you hold your breath per hour. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi ken , I have had the c -pap machine in hospital as I have breathing problems as well at the moment I have been sent home with 24/7 oxygen as myoxygen level were rather low when I was sleeping and apparently only stopped breathing 20 times so I have to get another sleep study with the oxygen to see if I would still need the c-pap as well , I think I do but I will have to wait until my next appointment , I think it because the equipment is so expensive and somepeople get it then dont use it so one of the nurses was telling me .i think they are brilliant when I am on it in hospital i get good sleep .
