Hi Ken, I remember you saying you bought one of the pain relief pens a while ago. I wondered how you got on with it. Do you think it was worth the outlay ? Hope you and Julie had a good christmas,

Regards Sharon

Hi Shazzzy

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as we ll as you possibly can be today my friend? Julie and I had a wonderful Christmas thank you. I genuinely hope that you also had a lovely holiday time?

We have both found the Medipen was well worth the initial outlay that we paid. We had a difficult start with it as we needed to find the balance of how much to use. If we had too much then it gave us terrible headaches which we have been told can be expected.

So, what we do now is have about 6 inhalations when needed and this does not cause us any side effects. The pain relief from this will usually last about an hour. This may not sound a lot but it is wonderful just to get the pain relief when we are in agony. We can usually take another 6 inhalations about 2 hours apart without side effects.

I sincerely hope that helps you my friend and if you want to know anything more please feel free to let me know?

I genuinely hope that you have a happy pain free new year and all my hopes and dreams for you

Ken x :)

Thank you so much for replying, I have one more question for you as I know you are also severly affected by migraines. Do you find that when the migraines are in charge that the fibro pain recedes ?So glad you both enjoyed christmas, I had a lovely time with my daughters and beautiful baby granddaughter thank you,

Hi Shazzzy

I do find that my Fibro recedes when I have a severe migraine. I do not know if my Fibro really is less or the pain of the migraine is worse? But either way I feel my Fibro less.

I genuinely hope that you have a wonderful pain free new year my friend. x :)

Hi Maria, sorry to here your in so much pain at moment. The medipen can be found online. I found relief for legs by taking vit d from gp, epsom salts baths for magnesium, arnica cream (the cooling one) from boots as well as basil essential oil for pain. The basil and epsom salts can both be used in bath, and basil in oil rubbed into skin ( check if you are ok to use basil before buying a it is quite a strong oil) info can be found on internet. All the best

Sharon

Hi Ken

I've been reading your posts re the medipen.

I'm thinking of getting one. I suffer with Acute Rheumatoid Arhritis and am in constant pain.

Even CD pain relief isn't covering my pain.

What's your opinion on the medipen now?

Thanks

Michele

Hi Mich1, Ken is offline for a while due to an eye operation. I never bought the pen in the end so I can m afraid I can't help you. If you write a new post I'm sure you will get some help, this is a very old post. All the best

Hi Mich-1

I truly apologise for my late reply but as Shazzy says I have been offline for a while. My over all opinion of the Medipen is that it does help me and my dear wife a great deal. We still limit our use of it to avoid headaches etc. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with this if you decide to purchase one.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi Ken

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Really good of you.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered one. I’ve had it for a fortnight or so.

I’m still experimenting, trying to find the right dose.

I do believe it’s making a difference, although I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Thanks again and good luck to you and your good lady wife.

Mich x

Thanks Ken, I wonder wether the migraine pain 'drowns out' the fibro pain or wether neurologically only one is possible at a time. Would love to find out more about how these things work, I do believe they are both of neurological origin, maybe two sides of the same coin ? Happy New Year,

Sharon

It is an interesting thought? I had not actually considered this until you mentioned it, thank you :) :)

Hi, I notice its been 4 months since you were asked the original question. Are you still finding relief using the Medipen system? Roughly how long does a cartridge last? I have migraines, anxiety and M.E. and don't want to waste money I don't have.

Thank you.
