Every time we started getting ready to go to our caravan the dogs know and start getting excited and I'm sure that if we had to pack cases they would also pack themselves as well they seem to know even before we decide to go, clever dogs..

I've got a picture of our last dog in one of our suitcases. She was a rescue dog who they thought must have been chucked out of a car onto Spaghetti Junction in Birmingham (anyone from this area will know it was a miracle she survived) it was the industrial fortnight so probably someone didn;t want to take her. The first time we were going on holiday I had got the cases out and came downstairs to get something and when I went up she had curled into a tight ball on top of the clothes and was shaking all over with a most pitiful look on her face. of course we were taking her but every time we stopped on the journey she started shaking all over and was reluctant to leave the car as we think she thought she was going to be left again.

Happy end to the story though as we bought a motor caravan which she associated with good times and from then on she loved any form of travel even getting into the Postman's van when it was parked at the end of the drive.x

Poor little baby dog! Rescue dogs need so much special care but they reward you with buckets full of love in return xx

Agree totally. We had a really difficult first year with her but she lived to be 16 and was the most marvellous dog I have ever owned full of fun and beans loved everyone.x
