Gorgeous. Where we used to go on our holidays and they had always had cats and dogs together. The one dog died and their cat who was quite elderly stopped eating and did not want to go out. Took him to the vets but vet said he could find nothing physically wrong but perhaps it was old age getting the better of him and if he was not better by the end of the week perhaps they would ahve to make a painful decision.

Well they decided to have a rescue puppy to replace the dog who died and they brought her back and on the nighttime showed her her basket and she curled up and the cat got in with her and the next day started eating again and lived several more years. They realised that he must have been pining for "his dog" who he had always slept with and he and the new pup became best of friends.x

so true Ryanbone.my Buster was so down for about a month after Iost my first dog.off his food and pining,not keen to go out.

Yeh chocolateaddict, Its not nice to watch your wee one grieving, you feel that helpless.
