Oh yes I have the same problem. I'm always turning the heating of even on cold days and my husband then gets really cold while I cool down. The trouble is I can then have the opposite were I can't get really cold and can't warm up. I do feel sick with it to. Take care x

Indeed this happens to me too, either too hot and head / chest sweats in day time and also awaking through the night in bed, Or like yourself feel very cold and unable to keep warm..... I asked my doctor about this side effect of fibro..... and he said it was part of the condition and medication can have this side effect, In my opinion I really don't think my doctor understands how this can effect someone.......

One other thing ...... I avoid alcohol at all costs......even a glass of wine or a beer put's me into a hot flush.......and I'am Male .....not good.

LOL at last someone who has the same issue as me with regard to alcohol, and there was me thinking I was the only one who seemed to have this weird symptom. Thanks, you made my day, now I know I am not totally Fibro-Mad, as my grand-daughter puts it regarding some of my weird side effects. She's 5 and is convinced I must be a mad professor because I stand out in the snow in shorts and t-shirt sometimes trying to cool down, or huddle around the BBQ to get warm when its red hot in the sun, but mainly because I flush bright red if I drink her daddy's "Larger" as she calls it and forget things even more. LOL

I have my fan running in the bedroom every night. Can be snowing, but I still have fan on. Shame I can't shed some of this weight by melting lol

I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing this issue and I must admit that I suffer with hyperhidrosis and it is very unpleasant.

I want to wish you all the best of luck with finding the answers that you are looking for.

All my hopes and dreams for you

I have issues with controlling my temperature and it drives my wife mad because she's cold and I am roasting, then the opposite can happen and she is warm and I am dithering with cold. Another thing is I forget to turn either the A/C off or heater, dependent upon which temperature phase I am in, and she's worried I will burn down the house. Oh how I hate the Fog, I am worse than my mother in law who is diagnosed with alzheimer's, she remembers far better than me. But in short, yes, I believe it is a recognised issue for some FM sufferers to sometimes lose the ability to control their internal temperature well.

me too! think my "thermostat" is broken (as my hubby says! lol) as I too are either boiling hot or freezing. its very rare for me to be a comfortable temp. Gp's fob me off with its lupus and/or FM and say to ride it out but its very embarissing when my clothes are wet from sweating :( sorry, ive rambled on again

hugs x

Me too I thought it may be start of menopause but had hormone tests and they are fine. I find it horrible if I am out and it comes on and the sweat is running down my face and my hair is soaking it puts me off going out..
