Just watched a programme about elephant poaching , which made me tearful

Wouldn't it be nice if humans shot elephants with cameras NOT guns

Totally agree as they are such wonderful creatures. The way they seem to mourn those that have died seem almost human. The tenderness they can show with those wonderful trunks. I can never get over that they can pick up a great big log with the trunk but also something as small as a mint.

How would we humans think if the Elephant could turn the tables and shoot us.

I couldn't agree more. I used to go up to Scotland for the shooting season and never ever shot anything with a gun (couldn't possibly do that) but I reckond it I could get close enough to a stag to get a good shot with a camera that I was even above those who shot the poor beast

I adore elephants and think that their demise at the hands of inhumane people is horrendous. They are so so intelligent - man and his desire to rule the planet and commit heinous crimes for their own ends appalls me !!

Photographing something and leaving it as you found it, the same with picking wild flowers they looked better where they belonged. We did not inherit the earth from our ancestors we are only guardians of it for our children and grandchildren, how will they judge the things that happened while we were guardians.

I totally agree! I watched The Life of Birds last night and farmers were killing rare breeds of birds just to protect a few pounds worth of crops! It is awful.
