Help in Michigan

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and sent back to my MD for meds and was told by him there isn't anything he can do for me as far as pain? To say the least I was in tears and now need anyone's help on finding a doctor near or in Lansing, MI the understands FM. I appreciate anyone's help I have been in pain for 6 Years and it just h keeps getting worse.

I know you r fed up , please find a doctor that understands fibro. There is products that can help but it is trial and error . It will never go away but u can learn to manage it better over time. I was in crisis the other week and I was given a steroid this help me settle things down and get back to being manageable . Please go to a different doc tomorrow and do not b put off this is a great site and it helped me a lot when I was first diagnosed good luck and b strong angela

I am supose to go to a pain management clinic once they can schedule me in. What do they do for Fibromyalgia? I really appreciate your comment angela.

I dont know what happens at pain clinic. If its going to b a few weeks away go back to docs ASAP and get somthing to help u through. And dont take no for an answer . Let us know how u get on Be strong I know you r feeling crap but find the strength good luck

I am so sorry to read of your plight, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue. there are medications out there that can help ease the pain of Fibro, and it is just a question of trial and error by using them.

I am sorry that I cannot help you find a doctor as I am in the UK. I want to wish you all the best of luck though.

Again know most about NHS but I have changed doctors when unhappy with them. If yours says nothing can be done then walk away. I think my best GP said" I have no idea but I will find out".
