Hi Fluffymare

I sincerely hope that you are feeling well today? I have been asked about the Bowen Technique before but I cannot find the answer that I gave? I have pasted you an excerpt below from the Bowen Technique website, so I hope that this can help explain a bit about it:

Excerpt Taken From Bowen Website

The Bowen Technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen’s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue and no force is used. The experience of a treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing. It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy.

I want to wish you all the best of luck if you decide to give it a go.

All my hopes and dreams for you

I had a short course of bowen earlier in the year. I found it very relaxing and helped oversll with the pain of fibro. Unfortunately i found i could not tolerate treatment of neck area without bringing on a migraine, so therapist avoided this area. I would definately do it again. I hsve found that a lot of things work, but only temporarily. At present i am concentrating on meditation, it keeps me calmer which is beneficial for pain, and is free and readily available !! All the best,

Hi I'm Fluffymare

I asked the question about the Bowen Technique about two years ago, and I have moved to Leicestershire since then, so will look for a therapist around where I live.

Thank you for replying,

Best Wishes.
