Morning Wendybacon,

I can in all honesty say I understand how you feel.

I think first thing in the morning is possibly the worst bit.

The onerous task of pulling oneself together find clothes getting dressed.

Many the time I have sat on the Loo just thinking and resting time passes in a strange way and before you realise it you have been in the bathroom for twenty minutes are you washed made up ready for the day no!

But you will be grab the day cease the day! You will feel much better so get dressed and go for it what ever it is :)

Gentle hugs

Hi Wendy

Yep me too. Had a reasonable night for a change as only woke 5 times. Feel exhausted but know I have to get going as doing my voluntary work this after noon. However I have learnt not to beat myself up about it and take everything as it comes as I know there will be good days or weeks hopefully! Positivity is the key. I won't let FM beat me.

Best wishes to you and all who post. X

I hear you Wendybacon. I've been at it for 30 years. I am currently 65. Please don't let your mind go there because it doesn't help. Try to focus on the positive things in your life. The people you love and who love you, that you can see, eat, and feel things. Things could be a lot worse. At least with Fibro we don't get deformed and it doesn't cause damage to body. I thank God for all of these things. I know for a fact that letting oneself go into depression only make things much worse and you are still in your body and you have to deal with the additional problems. So please "act as if" everything is ok and you will be able to tolerate more. I know it's horrible, but look around you as to how many people are sick with cancer, parkinsons, alzheimers, Rheumatoid arthritis. Put your pain in a compartment in your brain don't carry it in your entire brain because it will overwhelm you. Open that compartment only when necessary otherwise keep it closed and try to keep up with live. I've tried alcohol, lots of pain pills and have had to go to inpatient treatment for suicide attempts. I isolated for so many years, and after 30 years am juicing and exercising and got involved with a group of people that really care and are wonderful and I love them. We have to live this life, so let's live it as best as we can. Love and blessings to you, Josana
