I have seriously bad pain on my right shoulder going down my arm. Its like an extreme version of a dead arm, been having it for over a month but it's just so bad. Yesterday when I woke I felt like my muscles around the top of breasts / joining of shoulder had been pulled but I hadn't done anything. Later that afternoon I had mild chest pain right in the centre of it all. Now my right arm is so painful I would actually like to cut it off!!! I'm not relieving any treatment atm and have only been given diclofenac. What should I do?????!!

Please please ring 111 I'm just worried about you having chest pain if it a new symptom ! I really think if you end up at hospital now because of the pain I really think it would help you get a diagnosis quicker and better pain relief which u so desperately need. I'm sorry if I am worrying u but I just feel that you should not be left in agonizing pain any longer let me know how u are love Sally piggy squeak xxx
I ended up taking cocodamol and diclofenac and going back to bed till 12. Pain bearable now. My partner said I will get fobbed off at hosp again just feel like I'm gonna have to try and live with it
I am so glad your feeling better or bit better. It Is just with u saying chest pain I thought you needed help. I know what you mean I can't tell you how many times before I had a diagnosis for my sphincter of oddi dysfunction I ended up in hospital.it was awful and now I never go unless I have a new symptom as in stomach pain area. The are so many different fybromyalgia symptom I sorry we and I mean we everyone on the site lol would be there all the time !! It good that you know found a routine that helps a bit. I was ok ish except for exhaustion this am now my knees ankle under feet are so painful I can ease them but I'm in bed replying to you waiting for paracetamol and diclofenac to kick in . it is impossible for us to know what it may be, but can only reccomend you dial 111 or 999 depending on how you feel. A paramedic told me that the ambulance service would rather come out to 99 false alarms than miss 1 that is genuine.
If you choose to wait, please consider making an app't with you gp on monday.

I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing this issue, and I hope that you can find some resolution to the problem. However, as the others have advised you, if you ever get chest pains they should be checked out by a doctor straight away. If you rang 111 and said that you had chest pains they would tell you to go to hospital, so please get this looked at?
I have a doc appoint booked for next week. My dead arm is same colour as normal...this symptom I have everyday and it is excruciating!!! Just feel like I have no help or relief. Thank you everyone xx
My right arm improved quite a lot when I learned to improve my neck posture by learning the Alexander Technique. I don't know whether it might work for you. I too am very reluctant to go to the doctors now - they are almost part of the problem, I never get tense except when I am with a doctor and then because I have developed this doctor phobia they all think I am stressed out - ugghh.... I am when but only when I am with them! I am just picking up courage to take my left arm to be looked at by a doctor as that is really painful, but I am dreading the visit. Hope it gets sorted soon x
