sorry to hear of your pains angel.

have you tried putting them in warm water ?

an hot water bottle might help if you can prepare one with sore hands.

pain relieving gel (don't rub eyes or sensitve areas) might help.

If you haven't got any, sometimes just gently massaging your hands with body lotion or moisturiser can ease them.

regards,

hamble.

Hi angeleyes33

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue. It could actually be so many different things that you really need to discuss this with a doctor. As it is Sunday, you could always visit your local walk-in centre?

I want to wish you all the best of luck with this.

Morning Angeleyes

Oh poor you I know just where you are coming from- have you also pins and needles in them?

Try filling the washing up bowl with warm soapy bubbles and gently splash and move your fingers about. The warm water is very soothing!

Next try placing an ice bag on your wrists as yyour hands get cold so the blood vessels retract and you should loose some of the swelling.

Now the warm water again.

Good luck

I'm with everyone, gently soak your hands in warm water, I'm so sorry you have got such painful hands, and hope that you can speak with your doctor soon to get something to help long term.

Sending you lots of positive healing vibes.

I agree with everyone else, warm water is very good at soothing the pain.

I find that out of the pain releif gells, that the one called `Phorpain ` works best for both hubby and myself. But it may not suit you.

Gentle healing hugs sue xx

Sorry to hear that... I do understand. I think the warm water will work as well in helping to ease the pain but you'll want to try the ice pack like someone else suggested. When you get a chance order some Topricin. I use that and it works in about a week to markedly reduce pain. I have had great results with this and was quite surprised at how well it worked.

Hi angeleyes33, so sorry to hear how much pain you are in with your joints. Have you been diagnosed by your gp with rheumatoid arthritis? I have osteo arthritis and suffer with the pain and some swelling, just recently my fingers have been playing up and twisting out of shape.

As others have said, massaging pain relief gel into them helps, as does moving them about in warm water helps.

Be careful with this though, I joked to my Hubby that my physio said hydrotherapy was good for arthritic joints, and now guess who has to do all the washing up? Because It's Good For Me!! LOL!!

Gentle hugs, Julie xxx

I don't advocate alcohol, but I have noticed that my pain is eased when I have a hoppy beer!
