Hand pain
Hi ang53
I get sore hands frequently and I use a pain gel which I get on prescription from my GP it may be worth having a chat with your GP about this pain and to see whether you could get something such as a pain gel for it too. The physio will provide exercises for your hands ,I think, don't quote me because I don't know

Hi ang53
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way at the present time, and I sincerely hope that your visit to physio is fruitful and productive!
I use a tri-walker as this helps me, not only to walk, but it is better on my hands. I actually love it as it has a little basket at the front where I can put my stuff.
It maybe worth discussing the issue with your GP also, as there may be some other medication that they can give you to help alleviate the pain?
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi I had to change from holding sticks to soft handled left & right crutches they are so much better for my hands as don't have to grip the handles to save from dropping them like I did with sticks. I have used Traxam( Felbinac) foam for years to aid with hand & knee pain it literally melts in & u don't have to rub in like gel which causes me more pain, but seems a lot if pharmacies have stopped stocking the foam so if I find one that still has it will be queuing for some as getting down to my halts bits. Also used to have hot wax hand dipper the hot wax is lovely on your hands & great for skin.
Really hope change to crutches helps your hands
Hi Ang53, I feel your pain and hope you get something which helps. My hands, wrists and shoulders suffer from the weight bearing I do with my stick...
Hmm Ken a tri-walker, I think I could do with one of those...might have to do some research.
Gentle hugs MistyAng x
