With all you very wise folk out there, could anybody explain or have the experience of their fingers bending over to the right/left depending which hand, coupled with forming a 'claw' like look? Hasten to add very painful when trying to straighten out --which I cant anyway!

Morning Your fingers look very sore - are they always that colour or does it change?

Please do remember anything said on here said by kind caring considerate layman we are not Doctors.

We urge you to visit your Doctor and talk about your hands and then you will know what sort of arthritis you have.

Sorry cannot be more help jo-lyn but I do send you a gentle hug

Hi Gins and thanks for your reply--much appreciated and gentle hugs readilly accepted. My hands are not always as shown in the picture, they can get a whole lot worse than that and yes very painful and sore! It all depends on the changing temperatures. I can actually sit in a centrally heated place and my hands can go like that! Also they can go the 'other way' and I get really 'hot hands' that swell up badly (swell badly also when cold!) and its impossible to move anything from my elbow down, cold or hot! My thermostat is really up the creek with the FM & Raynaulds.

I have actually seen all the so called 'specialists',who all seem to have a different ideas with arthritis of one form or another, but only "possibly"! But I get no further forward other than being pushed from one to the other-- hasten to add had the Raynauds all my life.

Gob smacked my Atos accessor a year ago when she saw my hands, yet she still 'assessed' that I was 'capable' with most things with my hands!!!!! Yes I appealed and won that with the 'evidence' I had!

Most people have never seen hands that suffer so badly, I expect different if you exist at the North or South poles possibly?

Thanks again for replying and have a good day..

Hi Jo-lyn

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering with this problem and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue as soon as possible. I have a friend that has Raynauds and I understand from experience how unpleasant it can be.

Your hands look particularly sore, I was wondering what medications you take for this? I have pasted the NHS Choices page relating to Raynauds in case you haven't seen this?

Take care and please keep us all up to date as to how you get along with this.
