Hello Madddyyy,

This is a good question from what I have personally read, until recently the information was that it was predominately more women than men who have Fibro

More recently research indicates that there may be more males living with Fibro than first thought and the statistics were possibly affected by certain reasons including lack of diagnosis probably due to lack of reporting symptoms.

The report says More research is needed, particularly on why men who reported fibromyalgia symptoms were less likely than women to receive a fibromyalgia diagnosis

The discrepancy between the number of people reporting fibromyalgia symptoms and the number actually diagnosed with the condition was greatest among men, the study found. Twenty times more men appeared to have fibromyalgia based on their survey response than had been diagnosed, while three times more women reported fibromyalgia symptoms than were diagnosed

Research continues...............

I hope you find this of interest

Best Wishes

Hi there

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as can be? According to the NHS Choices website there are many more females than male sufferers. It's just one of those things I think. They also say more women have lupus than men. It could simply be that more women go the doctors and then get diagnosed, where men don't?

You take care
