Please help me find a good GP in N. Ireland!
Hi Sings, I'm with the Moira dr practise on the Main Street and can't recommend Dr Spence highly enough. He's been my gp for few yrs and he's great. I get fantastic care from him and he's been on courses dealing with fibro. If I ask him a question he's not sure bout he finds out 4 me and listens to exactly what I say. There are 3 main drs in the practise as well as locums on various days also. The other 2 main drs are Dr Parker and Dr Davis but my advise is to stay well clear of them as they don't believe in fibro. I can't really say much bout the locums in the practise as I stick with Dr Spence wherever possible. There is 1 locum who's quite a regular called Dr Barr and he's pretty good also although I've only seen him 2/3 times when Dr Spence has been on holiday etc. Hope this helps u xx
Hi ya neighbour I don't think there's any good gp's in the following areas that u have mentioned, tbh they say Craigavon is one of the better ones? I'm not sure as I'm not a patient!! A lot of gps reckon fibro is the "yuppy flu", & all in the head, u know the score were kinda classed as lazy lay a bouts, there is a good surport group in newry&morne fibromagila group, google it, it's on 1st/2nd tue each month, I've the no somewhere I'll hava wee look for u when my legs switch on again hope this helps:-)x
Gud luck finding a g.p that is helpful lv I live in n.i and haven't found 1 that I found sympathetic R helpful lv every time I went 2 docs I always ended up cn a different 1 which is so annoying coz they don't no anything abt me so I hav 2 tell them the whole story iv bn with my surgery since I was born nearly 48 years ago and hav seen loads of docs cum and go through the surgery but gud luck anyway xo
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply. I tried to join the Moira practice, only to be told that i'm outside their catchment area!! oh well, i have heard the practice in Gilford is quite good, so i will probably just go with them.
