Doctor says Tempural Myalgic associated with Fibro. It's so painful that I find it hard to eat.
Hi. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Hi. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2010. Pain in legs and neck, most recently chronic face pain, anyone else suffer this?
Hi Lee, I am so sorry that you are feeling so rough at the moment. My advice would be to go back to your doctor and ask for some more detailed information about temporal myalgia as it can also be related to conditions other than Fibro, which he really does need to rule out. It can be linked to temporal arteritis, which if it is, can be helped by the use of steroids (I know this as my beloved late mother suffered from this and was helped by steroids). He may already have put you through other tests before coming to his diagnosis, if so please forgive me, but it is a horrid condition and I just hate to think of you in such pain if there are treatment options which can help you.
Sending lots of positive healing vibes your way

Hi Lee,
I would do what Foggy suggested and go have a word with your GP to see what might be able to be done for you.
Gentle hugs

I have Temporal Mandibular Joint Disorder which after asking my GP about I ended up getting help from my dentist. He referred me to a consultant. They give you exercises and advice. Because it's linked with fibro I was told mouth guards wouldn't help but was offered botox for pain. I find hot drinks and warmth to the jaw helps.
Thank you for advice everyone, GP not done any tests just said to do with fibro, but will go back again. Interesting about the Botox though, as I'm trying to get Botox for my severe migraines. Thank you everyone.
I keep feeling like my jaw is dislocating only on one side, but i don get any pain from it. It just an uncomfortable feeling.
Maybe as i have so much pain else where i don't notice it, but it feels horrible when eating.
Dearest Fibro..yes..I can say yes exactly the same..if I get any symptoms..
Hi Yikes Were you going to write a missive ? It remind me of a letter to a fallen soldier.................................

Oh the dreaded TMJ. I go to a fantastic dentist who trained in face pain in USA, I have two frames, one for daytime use and one for night-time use, they work really well.
Hi all,I've just started to be bothered by jaw pain and when I move my jaw around it makes a crunching sound.I also notice that I grind my teeth as well and the jaw feels stiff. Is this tmj?xxx
