Hi there

I've use the Benefits and Work Guides for several years. I've used them for every claim I've made for ESA and DLA. They're excellent, especially now it's so hard to see anyone at a CAB etc. A subscription costs just £19.45 for a full year. If you join, you'll get the questions the doctor will ask you, advice on how to answer them. plus screen-shots of their computer screen so you know what they're doing online. The website is benefitsandwork.co.uk/

Good luck!

Hello

Check the above site out first, they'll know.

I don't have experience with ATOS but do with Capita who deal with HR for the mod. In my paperwork I put as much information I could remember in. (I also didn't take my full pain killers when I saw the last one so they could see me at my "best".)

Good luck

If you can give them a copy of your conditions and make sure the log it down. doctors letters would be a great help. If they ask you to do something you cannot, dont do it no matter how they push you. I have the pdf for Benefits and Work Guides appeals if you want it I can email you it.

You should always record your assessment!!!!! I cannot stress this enough. Get someone to answer the door. Stay in bed. Do not look well groomed and dressed. Have someone to take notes for you..... never do any activity that would cause you shame, embarrassment, pain or that would exacerbate your condition. Tell the doctor this. They are not allowed to force you to do anything that would make your condition worse. If you cannot do the activity repeatedly, safely and reliably, this counts as being unable to do it. Make sure you repeat these words in your answers.

Good luck
