Congrats huni....I won (in my absence) on 30.07.13 n I'm still waiting!! I called them and was told it can take up to 6 weeks. I emailed them a copy of the judgement yesterday and I've had no response. The papers say the judgement is sent to DWP within two days....I definitely received the judgement within two days....!! It's just long....hopefully it'll be better for you x

It's DLA which stands for Disability Living Allowance, now replaced by PIP which I think is Personal Independence Plan or the I could stand for Income - too many acronyms!! xx

i had help from an independant disablitly centre they filled my forms out for me and i always keep and get copies of my letters from all my specialists etc n keep app letters so when they come up for renewal i send all that in and any future apps so they can see and to save them writin to my docs/specialist etc as when i first applied it took so long for my docs to write report etc i lost my case etc as i had no medical evidence now i keep it all.... well thats if i remember where i put it all lol brains like mush half the time. just done a esa thing and it took me weeks to fill forms and find all paperwork as i was gettin so tired etc had to keep goin over it and paperwork. i am on incap still n just had the forms for me to change over... still with all the evidence i expect i will have to have a medical as fibro isnt anything they believe in to be honest so i am waitin for the dreaded letter that i have to go for yet another bloody medical! lol ( do have other illnesses too but fibro is my main one ) x but still dla last time awarded mine again for 2yrs ( no medical etc just sent in all paperwork) but that up for renewal soon too... x still it has all changed and i think its down to the decision maker ya get on that day to be honest depends if they understandin or not lol x some have compasion others dont ... you'd think it was comin out there pocket lol x gl

did you get high rate motability and high rate care x

hi all. got awarded lower rate care and high rate mobility. 4th time lucky. didnt have any help at all. the first time i applied i had help from dial. they helped to fill out the form and said they would come along to tribunal. on the morning of the tribunal they rang and said that im not gonna win so they not coming. after that i decided to go it alone. i got hints and tips from the benefits and work website. its a very stressful time but worth trying and dont give up. im waiting for a date for a esa appeal now but reading on peoples Q AND A im hoping that i dont have to attend. If anyone has a pending appeal try and get as much evidence off docs etc as you can. it all helps.

my partner had his car taken off him in march due to a new dr at the practice lying about his conditions , he has just won his tribunal and went to order a car, now he,s being told it takes at least 2-3 weeks before dwp are notified, they check everything to make sure theres no errors in the judgement papers, its dissapointing that he cant have his car yet..and that because his dla was suspended in march, due to the contract being ended early he may be responsible to pay the outstanding balance due to it ending early and that it will come out of his back pay which i dont think is fair because its not his fault that he had it taken off him due to this dr it makes me annoyed..the owe him low rate care from october last year and high rate motability since march..just dont know when he will get it.x
