PIP is supposed to have replaced DLA, which means it is not means tested. Anyone can apply for PIP, which is assessed on how much your condition impacts on your life and affects your ability to do everyday tasks. You dont say why you have been called for a medical, but if it is for other benefits you will not automatically get PIP. If you google Benefits Agency, there is a website where you can find out, anonymously, everything you are entitled to claim for.

I wish you good luck!

If you intend to claim PIP, which is the phased in replacement for DLA, then I strongly recommend that you visit benefitsandwork.co.uk and download their guide to PIP assessments, which will provide you will all of the information that you need regarding the points system in use which identifies the level of payment, (or increasingly no payment at all), that you are entitled to.
