What is my excuse??

I am currently on day 4 of my 5dt and I am having a birthday party which was planned months ago on Saturday. Apart from my OH sister and mum, no one knows about me having IVF. I know people will offer to buy me drinks. I just don't know what my excuse will be for declining. Any ideas??

How about say you had a headache amd took some ibuprofen? I never mix ibuprofen with alcohol xxx or some kind of medication of the non ivf variety have fun!

Just say I have loads of drinks on the go at the mo buy me one later or say you have a water infection people don't tend to question that one lol x

Water infection? Might have to research on that because I have a few nurse friends who are inquisitive. Lol. Thanks x

I used to drink tonic water and pretend it was a gin and tonic. You could do that and whenever anyone asks to buy you a drink just say that it's ok you already have one. I did that at a wedding. It was easier than I thought! x

If they are being really pushy, you could say "just a juice/J2O/tonic/soft drink please - I am trying to pace myself with the alcohol!" hopefully the person buying the drink will not notice that your next one is non-alcoholic too
