Transfer schedule's

How long do you have to wait after a BFN to do your next cycle. We are doing FET's after having to do a freeze all for high OHSS risk. I expected to start again next cycle bit clinic day you have to have two natural bleeds. Again the communication with them is appalling and I'm constantly chasing for information but just wondered what the usual protocol is?

Sorry about your BFN. I think it differs between clinics, I had to wait for my withdrawal bleed (which isn't considered a "proper" period) after stopping meds, and then one natural period after that x

Ok thankyou. That is what I'm pushing for. I don't have time on my side to wait two full cycles every time!

Mine was the same on both my failed cycles in the past, withdrawal bleed, then a period, then was able to start again. Best of luck xx

My clinic like to us to have withdrawal bleed and one natural period. But after so many fails my consultant offered to do back to back transfers (I started oestrogen on the withdrawal bleed). It still hasn’t worked, but I don’t think it was to do with back to back because my lining was fine (and had a couple of fresh transfers since which also haven’t worked). I’ve found when I push for things to be different my clinic usually agree, they should be considering patient choice too.

Thanks for this. So the withdrawal bleed is the period after the BFN. I just assumed that was a period because you've not got pregnant, but that's classed as a withdrawal bleed? Sounds like they wanted to make me wait an extra cycle but I should be able to try again after my natural cycle then just would've been nice for them to communicate any of this to us!! X

Yeh that’s right. I think it’s a withdrawal bleed because you don’t ovulate in a medicated frozen cycle.

I had to wait for withdrawal bleed plus one “proper period” after BFN. Once I just had the withdrawal bleed and the transfer was a disaster.
