Me and my Husband have been trying for a baby for over 11 years. You name it…I have tried it. Acupuncture, Clomid, IVF (private as his BMI is too high due to him being 6 ft 4 so we were not entitled to NHS funded IVF), miscarriages, everything. We eventually went to Spain for IVF (egg donor) after being recommended Spain from a gyne Consultant at my local hospital (I have endometriosis and am not able to get pregnant naturally).

The reason for this post is that I am currently sat here with my 8 week old perfect little girl cuddling in to me. I had completely given up hope that it would ever happen and felt like there were no success stories on here of anyone who has been trying for as long as us. But hopefully this can give at least one person hope. It DOES happen! FYI I am 41 years old. Please PM me if you have any questions like what clinic, the process etc but I couldn’t believe how much better Spain was the having it done here!!

thanks for sharing this story, I am feeling very hopeless today. We have been trying with donor eggs for over a year and had three failed transfers. I’m coming up to my 44th birthday and just feel time has run out for us- but I can’t stop trying. Hoping one day I can write a post like yours 🍀

I remember the hopeless feeling well. I genuinely thought it would never happen for me. To be honest I still have to pinch myself that she is really here! In the bay I was in when I gave birth (bay of 4) 2 of the mums were older that me, one was 42 and one was 45. Time hasn’t ran out 🩷 I’m pray that I will get to read your post one day x

huge congratulations to you. We were the same 11 years trying and absolutely nothing. Ivf here … Scotland was crap so we went to Spain and now have an 18 month old girl and she is just perfect. Absolutely no regrets about donor or Spain at all xxx

Congratulations to you too! We are both truly blessed ❤️ I didn’t have a good experience with IVF in England either, but I guess it is a good thing as it led us both to Spain!

I am hoping to go over to the clinic soon so that they can meet my little Neriah. We used instituto bernabeu

Would also be interested to hear where you went. Did you have good ovarian reserve (AMH, AFC)?

Huge congratulations 🎊 😀such a lovely post to read. I am 42 and trying with donor eggs (czech Republic) just need to overcome immune related miscarriages. Your post gives me so much hope and reminds me not to give up. I am getting so tired and we are running out of money!! That's great to hear there were other new mums in their 40's. Enjoy your beautiful little one. You've had such a long and tough journey by the sounds of it. Enjoy every minute Xx

Many congratulations. I am so very pleased for you. Enjoy your special time with your little one.

I'm on year 16 of trying. I did have my little boy through an IVF clinic when 41 years old, but am having repetitive IVF failures trying for a sibling in England, so please could you send details of the Spanish clinic.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, please could you perhaps add to the post, how it works with a Spanish clinic - do you end up having to live over there for a month or two. I'm constantly travelling to London, and can't imagine what that looks like if you're having to go on aeroplanes. Thank you.

Congratulations, what a wonderful story. It is so good to hear success stories .

My daughter had twins through IVF donor egg after long heartache and my other daughter has had two failed ICSI and considering Spain and Greece . It’s great to know that you had success abroad .

Do you mind DM the name of the clinic please .

Good luck for a happy future with your baby daughter x
