Hi everyone even though I’ve been here for a while this is my 1st post
I just want to give you all a little bit of hope and never give up on your dream
I’m 43yrs old have been trying for a baby for a very long time
I met my husband in 2009 and we both knew we wanted children
Nothing was happening so we decided to get married in 2012
I went to see my doctor in January 2013 and our ivf journey began, after 3 failed cycles (nhs) we gave up didn’t think we could ever afford to pay for any treatment, then covid happened and we thought life is too short let’s just do it, we decided to go abroad and use donor eggs fast forward to today and a miracle has happened
we never thought this day would happen and it still doesn’t feel real, no matter how you complete your family never give up it will happen
Good luck to everyone on your journey xxx

Congratulations I’m interested in your experience of donor If u don’t mind can you PM me? We’ve had several nhs failed experience and 1 private attempt here in Scotland xx
Thank you for your lovely words, I know a few people over the age of 40 who have had babies naturally and ivf some there own eggs others donor, my eggs just were just not very good so donor was the road to go down. This is very hard journey but don’t look to far a head deal with what is happening right now take small steps and you’ll get there good luck 🤞 xx
That gives me hope, thanks! I'm in the US and have to travel all the way to Ukraine for my embryos. I'm not sure if I want to implant one or two. I'm thinking two because the trip is so long, but then I run the risk of twins. Not that it would be a bad thing, just more expenses and risk down the line.
Wow that is such a long way to travel but it must work out financially if your prepared to go all that way I can imagine it must be so expensive in the US for fertility treatment, on my previous 3 attempts I always had 2 put back in there is that chance of 2 babies but you’ve got to look at the pros and cons, good luck xx
