Hi everyone,

I hope this post isn’t a trigger for anyone but I really wanted to share with the community, some of which have been very supportive to me during my IVF treatment.

We started our IVF treatment in October and I haven’t posted since my 2WW where I had tested early with a positive and convinced myself I was having a chemical pregnancy.

Since then we’ve gone on to have a quite distressing 1st trimester with lots of bleeding and worry of miscarriage and I’ve had more hospital visits and scans than most women have in 2-3 pregnancy’s, the most recent trip being two days ago. Currently no explanation to why.

We had a private well-being and gender scan this morning and we are pleased to say at 16 weeks 3 days everything is looking ok and we’re having a little boy! Which was a shock as we’d convinced ourselves it was a girl!

*touch wood* we’ve been very lucky as this is our first round of IVF and I am so incredibly grateful to the NHS and everyone who has supported us during this time.

I hope this post doesn’t upset or offend anyone and it’s a little bit of proof that miracles can happen 🥰

Thanks everyone who had messaged during my early panics and I’ll keep people updated.

Wishing the best for everyone trying x

Awwww lovely 😊 I am 36 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby. We was convinced we were having a girl but we are also having little boy. It’s nice to see success stories. Hopefully some of the other girls get their miracles this year 😃 xxx all the best for your pregnancy

Congratulations! I understand it can be upsetting to read this for some people who aren't so lucky, but this is your success, you've gone through hell and back to get to this point and you should be proud and you deserve all the happiness!

Wishing you all the best for the rest of your journey, take care, stay safe xx

Congratulations. The first trimester of my pregnancy was stressful for similar reasons to yours but it does get easier as the pregnancy progresses. I was extremely unwell for most of it and actually lost a lot of weight in the first two trimesters and ended up with a 10 pound baby 🤷‍♀️It is just as important to share the ups as well as the downs in this forum as I know the success stories gave me hope xx
