Hi All, I wondered if anyone was still bleeding (but not actual period) 9 weeks post MC? I’ve contacted my GP and he will send me for a scan and advised to do a pregnancy test but just wondered if others had experienced the same? I had been told it can take 8 weeks for period to arrive, so having been waiting patiently 🤦♀️ TIA

Sorry for ypur loss and that youre having to ask these questions.I've had 10 miscarriages snd 1 ectopic and usually stop bleeding within a week with miscarriages (depending on how far along and not counting any spotting before 'the main event'). It was a little longer with the ectopic.
If you're still bleeding 8 weeks later, I'd present to early pregnancy unit and get checked out.
Is your pregnancy test negative now?
In terms of period returning, I wrote a reply more in depth earlier this week, if you have a look at my previous posts, but my general rule of thumb (for by body) is that it takes as many weeks as I was pregnant to return.xx
Sorry for your loss, I would definitely do a pregnancy test because I had continued bleeding and it turned out it was an incomplete miscarriage. However I have also had a miscarriage where I bled for 2 months on and off as well, so yes I have experienced that I am afraid. It did right itself in the end x
Hi there, so sorry for your loss. I too had many weeks of light bleeding after my MC, and that was with a d+C ... My GP and gynie both weren't worried and said each recovery is different. It was frustrating when you're trying to move forward and get back into planning cycles however. Best of luck

Hi. Up to three cycles to return to what is normal for you. Hopefully the scan will reveal all. Hop you have plenty of support just now. Diane
