I was wondering if anyone has tips or advice for preparing for a transfer using a frozen embryo? I've been told they will go along with my natural cycle.
Dietary and lifestyle advice would be hugely welcomed. I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker anyway.
Thank you in advance ❤️

My IVF clinic recommends people read the 'It starts with an egg' book - itstartswiththeegg.com/ This provides useful advice on diet and lifestyle changes (like not drinking from plastic bottles and using unscented lotions/shower gels/etc).
Naturally exercising in the months up to your IVF cycle can be very helpful, but my clinic recommends stopping all exercise (except walking) once you begin IVF.
There is different advice out there, but my clinic also suggested giving up caffeine for 3 months leading up to IVF - mainly that helps egg & sperm production, so should not be too much of an issue for a FET cycle, but every little helps...
Hi, in my opinion there isn't that much you can do. I've had several frozen transfers and have tried every old wives tale out there about eating this or that. Especially after several fails I kept thinking I must not be doing enough as so many people on here seemed to be doing more than me. I changed clinic for this final round and my new one kept telling me it's all down to the embryo, it will work or not and I didn't really believe them and thought they weren't taking my history into account but I guess they were right and this little one finally stuck!
Glad I could help. I had honestly started to believe it couldn't work for me! 4 days after my transfer I went to winter wonderland in London for my sister's birthday and I spent the whole day worrying I had walked to much and eaten too much rubbish etc. I also had a really bad cough for the whole TWW and kept thinking that much be affecting it, but somehow it didn't!
I do think it's good to have a general healthy lifestyle and it's good you are already a non smoker and drinker but just don't beat yourself up if you want a burger or something chocolate etc!
My doctor recommended probiotic drink, which is had (yakult), I also did blood flow yoga on the morning of the transfer, 2ww gentle yoga and I switched to very good quality supplements....I got my BFP ♥️Wishing you all the best of luck xxx
for a frozen transfer there’s not much you can do, the embryo is made so if it’s gonna stick it’s gonna stick so my best advice to you (as someone who has had many failed transfers and 2 successful frozen transfers) is just do what will make you happy and relaxed in the lead up to and during the 2 week wait 🤗 get organised for your meds take your folic acid and vitamin D and then just keep your fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏽 good luck! Xx
this is my first frozen transfer which resulted in BFP and I did NOTHING DIFFERENT with my lifestyle because I didn’t want to STRESS myself out at all. I very rarely drink and I’m a non smoker. However , I did have a glass of wine at my daughter’s birthday party and this was a week before transfer. Like I said, I’m no big drinker so this was probably the second glasss of the year. I was also speaking into existence that I would get pregnant at my transfer so won’t be having any alcohol whatsoever for a solid 9 months . So that was my tactic. It’s always good to follow a good nutritional lifestyle and keep healthy as much as you can , for me I just went with the flow and that kept me stress free x
Thank you for your response. Congratulations! That definitely seems to be the way forward. It's hard as a self proclaimed control freak but I'm going to do my best not to stress. Thank you xx
