Hi guys, I'm currently 9 days past transfer but since yesterday I've had very dark blood/discharge it's more when I wipe and tiny amounts on a pad when I woke up this morning from my sleep. Is this normal? I'm taking progesterone so not sure if it's to do with that it's hard to tell what is what🙈 don't know if it's too early to be implantation bleed? This is first embryo that's made it to transfer so never experienced this before💞
9dp5dt brown blood: Hi guys, I'm... - Fertility Network UK
9dp5dt brown blood
I had a few drops of very dark brown / black blood 8 days after my 5 day transfer (which felt even to me that it was too late to be implantation bleeding) but I got a positive a few days later. The drops turned into a dark brown discharge after the 8th day and continued for 2 weeks. My consultant did hcg tests at OTD to be on the safe side and they came back great. Two weeks later we found a big haematoma after an episode of red bleed with big clots, so that may have been the cause of the drops and the discharge all along. Baby was perfectly fine though.
Definitely mention it to your consultant / clinic and they’ll know what to do. And ofc keep taking the progesterone, but maybe take it rectally and avoid intercourse to avoid irritating the cervix in case it’s coming from there. Best of luck!
Sometimes, progesterone can cause spotting, and a bit of bleeding isn’t uncommon at this stage. But I totally get wanting some reassurance—maybe give your clinic a call for peace of mind? Keeping everything crossed for you, and sending so much love and positive vibes your way! x
Hi I was spotting from day 6 after transfer up to 12 weeks. Blood varied from pink trough the red up to dark brown. First weeks I had some cramping as well. They have done some additional ultrasound baby was always fine I dint have any hematoma. They put it down to cyclogest. Once I stopped it at 16 weeks the spotting cleared up.
hi, it could be implantation bleed. I had pink and red spotting at 6dp5dt and 8dp5dt, and got a BFP. Brown might be blood from a day or so ago? Good luck 🤞
Thanks everyone🩷 the discharge has turned to red brownish blood now it's still light but obviously I'm really worried I'm gonna call clinic this morning thanks for everyone's kind comments sending live to you all xx
