Vaginally prebiotic recommendations

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for vaginal (as in up the floof) probiotics as Canesflor is no more (RIP).

I have to take antibiotics for something unrelated to fertility, but want to avoid thrush/wiping out my good bacteria.

So, any recommendations hugely appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if taking antibiotics circa 6-8weeks prior to a check for endometritis skews the results?

Many thanks!

I have been taking a combo of Femex Forte (recommended to me by a private gynae) and Bio Femme V! I think both have helped me a lot as I had 0 good bacteria and recurrent BV but now taking them for several months there is a difference.

Was v gutted about Canesflor going out of production too!

Thank you!! I will check those out!

I know, it was such a pain. I know there were issues with the capsules being bit fragile but I can't think why they'd discontinue them -seem to have a loyal enough following...

I had a quick Google and apparently you can make your own probiotic vaginal pessaries mixing the powder with cooled coconut oil and placing into moulds.

Muvagyn. I ordered mine from a foreign site but it did the job and was on the ivf recommended list of probiotics for down there

I was tested for endometritis at my ec on Monday, it came back positive and the treatment I've been given is antibiotics for 10 days followed by vaginal probiotics called Ecocillin. So based on that I suspect it may skew the results..

I hope you don't mind me asking another question related to this topic on this thread! I was just wondering when you were advised to start taking the probiotic?how long prior to embryo transfer should they be taken do you know? Thank you!

I used vagiBIOM for two weeks and topped up with Femme V from invivo for long term oral probiotics. I only used the vaginal ones for 15 days then continued with FemmeV. Femex Forte is another one that I heard is good although oral not vaginal.
