I transferred a 6AA hatched embryo this morning. I have a sore throat that came on slowly yesterday or maybe the day before (?) and I'm nervous that whatever is happening with my throat is going to stop the baby from implanting. Is this a valid fear?

Sore throat on transfer day (IVF)
Hey. I had a sore throat exactly at the same time. And it got worse and became a full blown cold with cough by 9 dpt. On the night of 9dpt I spotted and then again in the morning of the 10th. I was convinced it was over so wrote to my doc asking if I should test early (we usually do bhcg on 14dpt). So I did a bhcg on 10dpt thinking I'm out and it was a BFP. Doc told me to go on complete bedrest till the OTD which is now tomorrow. I've been coughing and sneezing still. I too hope all is okay and my levels have gone up as they should tomorrow!!
The wee one is in the best possible place Your sore throat will have no effect whatsoever on implantation Just take paracetamol if feeling hot [no anti-inflammatories ] Make sure getting plenty of rest Keep throat moist drink plenty of fluids - hot lemon/honey drink really good for sore throats Continue with any meds you were given as directed
Hope you feel better soon

Hello
Just wanted to say, I had a slight sniffle when I flew out to Cyprus in June for transfer number 6. The following day in Cyprus when I had the transfer I had to walk for 20 mins in 41 degree heat to cross the border and catch a bus back to my hotel. By the time I got to my hotel my ‘sniffle’ had turned to full blown awful cold. I coughed and sneezed so hard that first evening in the hotel. I then had to fly back to London the next day, I was coughing all the way through the flight, felt so sorry for the people sitting next to me.l, I was blowing my nose constantly. This carried on for at least a week post transfer before the cold started to subside. I too thought there is no way this embryo can implant when I’m coughing and sneezing and so under the weather. I got my miracle bfp at the end of 2ww. I’m 44!! I’m 14w 6days at the moment. I’ve still so far to go and terrified everyday, but I know my little miracle is strong to have implanted through all of that. Your sore throat won’t effect implantation so try to let it be one less thing you worry about- look after yourself and one day at a time ❤️
My love as ever to everyone at every stage of your journeys. It’s not easy and we all deserve our happy ending.❤️❤️❤️
Oh, my! What an amazing story, and such a strong little babe! Thanks for sharing ❤️ I feel a lot more at ease with all off it today. My throat is still a bit sore, but it seems to have gotten better overall. And I don't have any other symptoms. Cheers to you and your little miracle! I wish you the best!
