Orgasm while a sleep on the night of embryo transfer

Dear all, I just wanted to know if there is someone that has experienced the same.

It was first night of my embryo transfer and found difficult to fall asleep. I fell asleep at around 11pm and got up past midnight by an involuntary orgasm. I had a vivid dream and than orgasm happened. Couldn't controll myself and couldn't stop it either. When I got up my pelvic was trembling.

I was so upset and found it hard to go back to sleep.

I am scared what that might do to my embryo. I am now day 6 after embryo transfer.

It can happen because of all the hormones. It doesn't really tell anything one way or another. Whether it is successful or not I mean.I am not a doctor or anything but I think it's unlikely it causes harm. In natural pregnancies wheen people have no idea that they have a 5 day embryo about to implant they continue to have sex and orgasms. And successful pregnancies. I would say check with your clinic for sure.

Hey I actually had to Google this when it happened to me. I had it on my last 2 transfers which were a positive for a short while. It followed by light pain for like 2 min in the pelvic area. It’s normal and it’s due to all the hormones we are on, I won’t worry about it. All the best x

jut to give you reassurance, You had this with both my IVF pregnancy and spontaneous pregnancy during my first trimester, I’ve never had it otherwise before or since. When I researched online it’s really common and nothing to worry about.
