I’m hoping for some reassurance! I had a day 6 embryo transferred on Tuesday. I felt really chilled on Wednesday but that night an inconsiderate, noisy neighbour triggered a horrible argument between me and my husband. I didn’t really sleep after it and, despite my efforts to feel calm, have felt quite anxious, tearful and unsettled ever since. It affected my sleep last night too. I have this underlying fear that this has ruined our chances of this transfer working. I know emotions run high post transfer but I’m after reassurance that this sort of stress won’t affect implantation?
Thanks so much to anyone reading x

Hi love, very very little of what we do once the transfer has happened has a real impact on the outcome. Please try not to stress or worry and don’t feel guilty at all. I had two by the book, perfect transfers and unfortunately they failed. For my third transfer, my body decided to get seriously ill with thyroiditis and yet it worked and I have my beautiful daughter. Sending you love, luck and strength
After my transfer, literally the afternoon afterwards, I went for a "little walk" and got completely lost. Got really anxious and scared, no phone signal. Then managed to fall down the side of a gully. I was so sure I'd messed it all up but I am now nearly 21 weeks pregnant. Hope this is reassuring, i don't think you will have done any damage - once they're in there not much we do seems to have an impact.
I’m so sorry that happened to you, sounds really stressful. So pleased to hear of your pregnancy ❤️ it just goes to show!! Definitely reassuring, thank you 🙏🏻
hi, agree with the OP, you haven’t done anything to affect the success. My successful transfer was on the hottest day of the year, I was boiling and agitated and the doctor was an hour late, I nearly burst my bladder. Then got called into work the day after (despite booking it off) and got stressed about lifting I shouldn’t have done. Then got norovirus at 7dp5dt… and all still worked out fine. Try not to worry, try and take some time out for yourself and relax a bit if possible. Good luck xx
Hi Kitkat, thanks so much for replying! Think I’ve been beating myself up because an argument should have been something within our control - guess I’ve felt the pressure more this time as the previous 2 FETs didn’t work! It’s all so testing! Xx
