Diphereline Depot Shot for IVF in menopause

Hi,

I just wanted some advice,

I am on my third cycle of IVF and have not had this injection before one chemical and one didn't implant previously.

My clinic wants me to take a depot shot to downregulate my hormones. I have premature menopause and am peri-menopausal/menopausal. I have no fibroids or endometriosis checked by ultrasound. I only have one ovary which is small and has no follicles, hence the egg donor and my cycles are completely controlled by the hormones I take.

I am concerned that I am taking something I do not need to take as I have no ovarian function. The risks of taking this I have heard can push you into an even worse menopause which I may not recover from and am concerned this could make things worse for me whilst trying to go through IVF.

Anyone taken the Depot and been in menopause and it be ok?
